Starting date

You can start your state pension from the 1. May 2025

When you choose to start the payments of your state pension, the start date will always be the 1st of the upcoming month. If you want a later start date, then don´t use the Self Service until the month before you want your payments of your state pension to start .

What if I'm prepaid?

If you receive a prepaid public benefit or prepaid salary just before you start your state pension, you can receive a one time payment in the first month you are a state pensioner. The amount corresponds to your state pension.

Note that a prepaid civil service pension will not grant you a one time payment, since it is not a public benefit.
